Frequently Asked Questions

What is Feel Good Collective?

We're a coaching-first gym in Roseville on Sydney's North Shore. The simplest way to put it: we are coaches that built a gym, not a gym that hired coaches.

That means the coaching, the programming and the community come first, and everything else is built around that.

I've never set foot in a gym and I'm intimidated. Is this the right place for me?

This is exactly who we built FGC for. A lot of our members walked in feeling like they didn't belong in a gym, either because they'd avoided it entirely or tried things that never stuck. You don't need to know what you're doing. That's our job. You just need to show up.

Is this a women-only gym?

No, we're co-ed. But FGC was founded by a woman, and a big part of why we exist is to build a space where women actually feel comfortable training. Most of our team are women, which is rare in this industry. You'll feel welcome here whether you're a total beginner or you've been lifting for years.

Where are you located?

Unit 15, 20 Barcoo St, Roseville NSW 2069. We are just off Penshurst St behind Chatswood East.

We're easy to get to before or after work for anyone on the North Shore or Northern Beaches.

What are your opening hours?

We're open early through to late on weekdays and across the weekend, seven days a week.

Monday-Friday 5:30AM - 9:30PM

Weekends: 7:00AM-7:00PM

What is included in the trial?

A week completely free. No payment, no commitment, no card on file. It's the best way to feel the training environment, coaching and the community for yourself before deciding anything. You either love it or you don't, and there's no pressure either way.

Do I need to be fit before I start?

No. Getting fit is the point of starting, not a requirement to start. We meet you exactly where you are and build from there. Our members range from complete beginners to experienced athletes, and the coaching adapts to each person..

What's the difference between a gym membership and personal training?

A membership gives you access to the gym to train on your own, plus the community around it. Personal training is 1:1 coaching with a dedicated coach who builds your program, guides your sessions and supports your nutrition.

Plenty of people start with PT to learn the ropes, then keep training independently with a membership..

How much does a membership cost?

We have multiple membership options. Prices vary between 28-45 per week. We have no upfront costs or 'lock-in' direct debit contracts.

How much is personal training?

Our most popular starting point is our starter pack designed as two sessions a week over a period of 12-16 weeks.

After that, ongoing PT runs on a per-session rate.

Every coach prices slightly differently depending on their experience, and capacity.

What's included in personal training?

Personal training at FGC is more than session-by-session coaching. You get a training program built specifically for you, nutrition support, access to our coaching app to track everything, and a coach who actually knows you and your goals. It's coaching, not just supervision.

I've had bad experiences with personal trainers before. Why would this be different?

We hear this a lot. Most people have never had genuinely good coaching, so they assume PT just doesn't work for them. The difference here is that we coach the person, not a template. No cookie-cutter programs, no being handed a workout and left alone, no being made to feel like your body is a problem to fix.

What equipment do you have?

A facility that's a real step above your typical local gym. We run Atlantis and Eleiko equipment, which is uncommon in Australia, all branded FGC.

Other gyms have generic equipment brands.

To put it simple we have the Prada of the equipment world, and all other gyms have the Temu equivalent.

The space and layout are built to have room to train without feeling crammed or limited.

Do you offer group sessions?

Yes, our coaches run small group sessions based on what they specialise in and love to coach. They're a great way to train alongside others. That said, our main focus is open gym training and 1:1 coaching, so group sessions sit alongside those rather than being the core offer.

What actually makes FGC different from other gyms around here?

Four things:

We're genuinely welcoming for women and beginners.

The community and connection between members is a real standout.

The quality of coaching and programming is top-tier.

the facility and equipment are a step above the local norm.

Most gyms might have one of these (if they are lucky!) We're built on all four.

Do you do meal plans?

We support your nutrition, but we don't hand out restrictive meal plans or sell you a diet.

We treat food as fuel for training and life, not something to feel guilty about.

The goal is sustainable habits that actually fit your life, not a plan you abandon in three weeks.

We do what works best for the client which may include a rough meal plan alongside a more flexible eating approach.

I want to lose weight. Can you help with that?

We can help you get stronger, fitter and feeling genuinely good in your body, and for a lot of our members their body composition changes as a result. What we won't do is put you on a crash diet or a six-week challenge. We coach for the long game, because that's what actually lasts.

We have had plenty of clients lose weight, but the difference is - they don't yo-yo back to their original weight. They keep it off without sacrificing their health!

Can my partner, dad or brother train here too?

Absolutely. We coach plenty of men, often the ones who've spent years relying on hobby sports and finally come in because something hurts.

Kyle, our co-founder, works with a lot of them. FGC works well for couples and families who want to train at the same place.

Do you offer online coaching, or is it in-person only?

Both. Most of our coaching happens in-person here in Roseville, but we also offer online coaching for people who can't make it in regularly or prefer to train remotely with a program and a coach behind them.
